Erica Ciara Linzey Graduates from Davis Senior High School

California girl Erica Ciara Linzey graduated from Davis Senior High School in her hometown of Davis, California in the United States.  There are actually four high schools in Davis, which had a population of over 65,000 permanent residents in 2010.

The presence of the University of California Davis, which swells residents by another 33,000 during the school year, changes the complexion of Davis for all residents as it does for the outlook of high school students like those at Davis Senior High School.

A 3-year institution accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Davis Senior High enrolls grades 10 through 12.  Davis Senior High has been on its permanent campus since 1961, and in school year 2013-2014 enrolled 1,720 students under its mascot name the Blue Devils.

Of the 2004 graduates from Erica Ciara Linzey’s alma mater, Davis Senior High School, a whopping 96% went on to higher education.  Approximately 30% went to 2-year colleges and 66% went to full four-year universities.   Students of Davis Senior High have access to enrollment in courses at University of California, Davis and to courses at the Davis center of the Sacramento City College which qualify as Advanced Education studies.

Linzey’s fellow classmates at Davis Senior High were approximately 45% ethnic, according to US News & World Report, and 20% of Davis Senior High’s student body are from economically disadvantaged homes.  For these reasons, Davis Senior High focuses very strongly on courses and programs which will help its students achieve in an English-speaking market.
